Passenger Flow Simulation

Moscow-Vnukovo International Airport In association with the Airport's design team, Logplan was requested to provide a design review of the planned layout for the new Terminal 1 including all passenger and baggage processes.

Logplan conducted the design review with the use of a passenger flow simulation to verify the validity of the layout, level of service and capacity. The review determined potential bottlenecks in passenger flow, security processes, baggage handling system, in-line screening system and check-in processes.

According to the simulation results provided by Logplan, the architects were able to optimize the initial layout design to significantly reduce the identified bottlenecks.
